Why Custom Industrial Fabrication Projects Fall Apart And How to Avoid It

Fabrication delays, mismatched parts, and poor communication between shop and field are among the biggest reasons industrial projects run over budget and behind schedule.

These problems stem from shops that treat every job as a standard order rather than a built-to-spec assembly.

West Mountain Welding closes that gap, delivering custom fabricated components that match your drawings, fit your timeline, and install without surprises.

FAQS

1. What types of projects does your custom industrial fabrication service cover?

Skids, structural steel frames, pipe supports, equipment guards, custom brackets, and built-to-print assemblies across a wide range of industrial applications. Send us your scope, and we'll confirm fit.

2. Can you work from my drawings, or do I need to provide a finished design?

Both. We build from finished drawings, and we support clients who are still working through design details. Bring us what you have, and we'll fill in the gaps.

3. Do you handle field installation in addition to shop fabrication?

Yes. WMW provides both in-shop fabrication and field installation and modification. You don't need a separate contractor to install what we build.

4. What materials do you work with for custom fabrication?

Carbon steel, stainless steel, and structural steel profiles. Send us your material spec, and we'll confirm capability before you commit.

5. What is your typical turnaround time for custom fabrication projects?

It depends on scope and complexity. We give you a real lead time upfront, not an optimistic number that slips. Reach out with your project details, and we'll give you an honest answer.
